The True STG1F-1G-HC one-section reach-in freezer includes three wire shelves that are PVC coated to provide corrosion resistance and durability. To support high-volume use and prevent rust, the unit is made of aluminum and stainless steel. Foamed-in-place insulation traps cold air in the cabinet, and an LED interior light shines on the stored items to ensure visibility.

This freezer has a triple-pane glass window in the door so employees can see the stored items without letting cold air out. Its door is right hinged and equipped with a durable metal handle on the left side. If it is accidentally left open, the door self-closes to prevent cold air from escaping, and it remains open past 120 degrees for cabinet cleaning or product loading. Its magnetic gaskets can be removed without tools, sealing the door to the frame to hold in cold air. A door lock protects stored items from potential tampering and theft.

With R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, the temperature in the True STG1F-1G-HC one-section reach-in freezer stays at -10 degrees Fahrenheit, though condensation can freeze on the evaporator and turn to frost. To prevent this from causing system issues, the unit automatically runs a defrost cycle on a timer, and when the freezer senses the temperature on the evaporator is safe, it stops the process. Ending the defrost cycle with temperature sensing instead of a timer saves on operation costs.

When the fan motor starts up in this unit, it runs in its reverse mode for 20 seconds, knocking dust, debris, and dirt off the condenser coil. Having a regularly cleaned coil promotes efficient system operation, reduces energy use, and maintains consistent temperatures. Used alongside recommended preventative maintenance, this self-cleaning feature lengthens the life of the unit. Mounted on top of the freezer, the refrigeration system will not suck in debris from the floor, though it is more difficult to reach for servicing.
