The True STG1R-1HG/1HS-HC SPEC SERIES® one-section reach-in refrigerator has a bottom half-door constructed of stainless steel and a top half-door constructed of double-pane, thermal-insulated glass. These doors have bolt-style locks to stop theft and magnetic door gaskets to prevent air from seeping out, while exterior sides are made of aluminum that matches the stainless steel. Its interior has an aluminum back and side walls that are resistant to corrosion. A stainless steel floor and ceiling provide durability, and the polyurethane insulation is foamed in place to retain cold air.

The True STG1R-1HG/1HS-HC reach-in refrigerator has a digital display on the outside of the unit to monitor the temperature, and since it is out of reach of unauthorized users, the top-mounted refrigeration system prevents tampering. Using R290, the self-contained capillary tube system keeps the unit cool. To reduce heat and energy consumption, the evaporator and condenser fan motors are electronically commutated to push a consistent volume of air. This reach-in refrigerator can be set between 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. For the first 20 seconds when the compressor cycles on, the condensing fan motor reverses direction to blow dirt and dust away from the condensing coil. When the coil is cleaned regularly, it helps the unit operate effectively using improved product temperatures. This feature, although effective, is not designed as a replacement for routine maintenance.
