The True STG1R-1S-HC SPEC SERIES® reach-in refrigerator has a top-mount refrigeration system so it does not pull dirt and dust into the condenser and evaporator. To keep temperatures cool, the capillary tube system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Temperatures can be set from 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, and the digital display can be shown in Celsius or Fahrenheit. For resistance to corrosion, the evaporator is coated in epoxy.

Extending the unit's life and improving its function, an automatic mechanism keeps the condensing coil clean. The reverse condensing fan motor operates for 20 seconds each time the compressor starts, ridding the coil of dust, debris, and dirt. For ideal results, employees should maintain the coil frequently.

Its exterior has a stainless steel door and front with aluminum sides, and the interior has aluminum walls and rear with a stainless steel floor and ceiling. Product sits on three PVC-coated wire shelves, and polyurethane insulation traps cold air in the cabinet. A magnetic gasket around the door prevents air leaks, and the door stays open past 120 degrees for product loading. The True STG1R-1S-HC one-section refrigerator uses LED interior lights to highlight product.
