The True STG2FRI-2S-HC two-section freezer has two doors made of stainless steel, which resists corrosion and dents. Its metal handles offer a comfortable grip when opening and bolt locks keep contents safe. The doors are self-closing to prevent cold air from escaping and they stay open past 120 degrees to simplify loading and unloading. There are three cam lift hinges per section to secure the doors to the cabinet. Magnetic gaskets have a one-piece construction and snap into the frame to prevent cold air from leaking out.

With a top-mounted refrigeration system, this roll-in freezer does not suck in as much dirt and debris from the floor as a bottom-mounted unit. Its backguard improves airflow, and its cast iron evaporator fan motors with large fan blades recover temperatures quickly. This unit has a self-contained capillary tube system that holds and controls the flow of R404A refrigerant, which keeps the inside at or around -10 degrees Fahrenheit. To prevent the evaporator coil from frosting, an automatic defrost cycle runs at a set time and stops when a certain temperature is reached.

To keep temperatures cold, this True STG2FRI-2S-HC freezer's walls are foamed with polyurethane insulation. Its exterior sides are aluminum to match the doors. Its interior ceiling and floor are made of stainless steel to resist corrosion and its interior back and walls are made of aluminum to resist dents and scratches. It has one heavy-gauge stainless steel ramp to help roll carts and racks inside, and bumper guards protect the interior walls from damage.
