Using R134A refrigerant in a capillary tube system, the True TRCB-36-HC chef base maintains a set temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Because the condensing unit slides out from the rear, it is conveniently accessible for cleaning and servicing. The evaporator's fan motor and large blades create even airflow that is distributed throughout the cabinet, and to resist corrosion, the evaporator is coated in epoxy.

This True TRCB-36-HC chef base has a stainless steel exterior and a matching back made of aluminum, while its interior liner is constructed of clear-coated aluminum. Two drawers on this unit can each accommodate one full-size food pan and three sixth-size food pans, which are sold separately. To contain messes and spills, its stainless steel top has a drip-resistant edge, and it can support 717 pounds of equipment.
