The True TUC-24-HC undercounter refrigerator has a durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel exterior and aluminum interior. Coved corners are built into the stainless steel interior floor to simplify cleaning, and the door has a stainless steel exterior to match the rest of the cabinet and an aluminum interior liner. Its stay-open feature on the door activates at 90 degrees to facilitate stocking and retrieving products while adjustable wire shelves are coated in PVC to resist damage.

The True TUC-24-HC undercounter refrigerator uses environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to maintain a set temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Magnetic door gaskets prevent cold air from leaking out, and foamed-in-place polyurethane provides insulation. Evaporator and condenser fan motors create a consistent volume of air that produces little heat and uses little energy, and the evaporator is coated in epoxy to resist corrosion. To simplify maintenance and cleaning, the entire refrigeration system in the True TUC-24-HC undercounter refrigerator slides out.

To maintain a clean condensing coil, the condensing fan motor blows in reverse for 20 seconds when the compressor cycles on. This mechanism helps eliminate buildup and dust from the coil so it can operate more efficiently, using less energy while keeping products cool. When used with preventive maintenance, it can lengthen the unit's lifespan.
