Maximizing space in tight kitchens, the True TUC-48-HC undercounter refrigerator fits under countertops to provide cold storage space without sacrificing prep areas. It has two sections with two 21⁹/₁₆-inch-wide by 16-inch-deep wire shelves in each section. A PVC coating on the shelves provides corrosion resistance, and they can be adjusted to hold different items. Because the interior liner is made of clear-coated aluminum, it is corrosion resistant and facilitates cleaning. Accessing the interior is convenient through two self-closing doors, which stay open past 90 degrees when users are loading and unloading products.

An operator can set the temperature in the True TUC-48-HC undercounter refrigerator to run as low as 33 degrees Fahrenheit or as high as 38 degrees Fahrenheit, and the refrigeration system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant€”a more eco-friendly option than traditional refrigerants€”to maintain these levels. Using large fan blades and a guided airflow pattern, cold air is evenly distributed, and if the refrigeration system malfunctions, the slide-out condenser is convenient to access at the back. When employed alongside regular preventive maintenance, the compressor fan motor's self-cleaning feature helps lengthen the unit's lifespan and optimize performance. The fan motor reverses for 20 seconds each start up to blow away dust, dirt, and debris that may have settled on the condensing coil.
