To provide uniform product temperatures, this True TUC-48D-4-HC undercounter refrigerator has an oversized refrigeration system that is factory balanced with a guided airflow. Its self-contained capillary tube system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant€”an eco-friendly alternative to traditional refrigerants. Fan motors in the system are electronically commutated, so they can evenly move cold air without creating a lot of heat or overusing energy. When utilized in tandem with regular preventive maintenance, the fan compressor's self-cleaning function helps improve performance and lengthen the unit's lifespan. Upon each start up, the fan runs in reverse for a 20-second period. This blows away any dust or buildup that may have settled on the condensing coil since the last cycle. 

Adjustable by the operator to suit any application, the temperature ranges from 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, and to retain cold air, the cabinet is foamed in place with polyurethane insulation in its walls. The unit's exterior is constructed of stainless steel on the front, top, and ends with a corrosion-resistant, GalFan coating on the steel back.

This True TUC-48D-4-HC undercounter refrigerator has four drawers, and each one can hold a full-size, 6-inch-deep food storage box. Although these drawers can hold more pans in different configurations, divider bars must be purchased separately to secure them in place. Drawer gaskets seal to the frame, minimizing cold-air leaks, and they can be removed without tools to simplify cleaning. Inside the cabinet, the floor is made of stainless steel with rounded corners that prevent debris from getting stuck.
