The Vulcan 1048 cheese melter features solid-state controls and operates with long-lasting quartz infrared heating elements. Its top, interior, sides, and fasteners are constructed of stainless steela€”a strong, rust-resistant metal that's ideal for heavy use. To minimize heat loss, it's built with 1-inch-thick insulation in the back, top, and sides. When not in use, operators can power down the unit with its on/off switch.
The Vulcan 1048 cheese melter's rack can be adjusted to four positions to accommodate different items. When product is placed on the rack, the unit heats automatically and a red indicator light alerts users that the unit is operating. To facilitate cleaning beneath the unit, it's raised on adjustable, 4-inch legs. Being a countertop model, this unit is 50 inches wide by 17 1/8 inches deep by 19 1/2 inches high, overall.
