For unobstructed cleaning beneath the unit, the Vulcan 1048 cheese melter is mounted on adjustable, 4-inch legs. It features a fan-cooled electrical compartment as well as a red indicator light to alert users the unit is operating. Enabling operators to power it down when inactive, it's equipped with an on/off switch. When the cheese melter is turned on, it heats automatically if product is placed on the rack.
To improve efficiency and minimize heat loss, the Vulcan 1048 cheese melter is built with 1-inch-thick insulation in its top, sides, and back. It heats with efficient, long-lasting quartz infrared tube elements and features solid-state controls for precision and reliability. Because this unit is constructed primarily of stainless steel, it's durable to support heavy use and resistant to corrosion.
