Because the Vulcan 48S-4B24GT NG Endurance® gas restaurant range is built with four burners, a 24-inch-wide griddle, and an oven, it eliminates the need for operators to purchase these three pieces of equipment separately. To save space in compact kitchens, it measures 48 inches wide by 34 inches deep by 58 inches high. Its 6-inch-tall stainless steel legs can be raised or lowered as needed on sloped or irregular surfaces, reducing the risk of the unit wobbling or rocking during operation. To complement other pieces of equipment without sacrificing durability, its front, sides, lift-off high shelf, and backriser are made of resilient, rust- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel. For added strength, its frame is fully MIG welded, and this natural-gas-powered unit outputs 195,000 BTUs in total and uses 1-inch rear gas connections.

The 48-inch-wide range is divided into two sectionsa€”burners on the left side and a griddle on the right. Two shrouded flashtube pilot systems control the four open-top burners to conserve energy, and staff members can adjust the burners' heat with the corresponding cool-to-the-touch control knobs. The two front heavy-duty cast grates measures 12 inches by 12 1/2 inches to accommodate small or medium cookware, while the rear grates are 12 inches by 14 1/2 inches to support large pots and pans. For thorough cleaning, the cast grates can be lifted off, and a pull-out extra-deep crumb tray collects food residue. The 24-inch-wide griddle's 3/4-inch-thick plate is durable enough to withstand repeated heating and cooling. So users can set the heat to a specific temperature, it has corresponding thermostatic controls. Operators can remove leftover oil with the 4-inch-wide front grease trough.

A standard oven built beneath the Vulcan 48S-4B24GT NG commercial range's stovetop features a simple-to-open hinged door with a handle that remains cool to the touch during baking. Because of its 26-inch depth, full-size pans can be inserted front to back or side to side for flexibility. Its two oven racks include two rack guide sets that can be placed in four positions. Great for broiling, roasting, reheating, or baking, its temperature can be set from 250 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit or at a low-heat setting, and for quick cleanup, its door panel and base are made of porcelain.
