Good for medium-sized restaurants or cafes that cook multiple foods at once, the Vulcan HEG48E HEG-E Series heavy-duty electric griddle has four thermostatic controls that independently warm four 12-inch griddle sections. Tubular incoloy elements heat the griddle sections to a temperature range between 200 and 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The 48-inch-wide by 24-inch-deep griddle plate's 1/2-inch-thick steel construction heats quickly, making sporadic use possible. Its thermostat controls are shielded by knob guards to prevent tampering or accidental adjustments so foods can cook as initially directed.

The stainless steel Vulcan HEG48E commercial electric griddle's front, sides, and legs are designed to thrive in kitchen environments. This durable steel endures typical wear, such as dents and scuffs, while providing a sturdy structure for cooking. Its smooth surface is easy to wipe down for minimized maintenance needs. After cooking, grease cleanup is simple: it drains into the 3 1/2-inch-wide grease trough, which funnels into the 1.5-gallon grease drawer. Once the grease is cool, the drawer can be removed, emptied, and cleaned. To protect countertops and the user, rear and side splash guards are built onto the griddle to contain hot oil and grease.
