When placing ingredients into the Vulcan K12ETT countertop steam kettle, operators can use the internal markings in liters and gallons to measure the ingredients. To add water to the kettle, a faucet can be mounted on the unit to provide quick, convenient water access. The kettle is simple to use, with a power switch, heat knob, and manual tilt lever. As the kettle heats up, a thermostat light comes on and this light goes out when it reaches the set level. Water in the kettle walls turns into steam that efficiently cooks food in the kettle. When the water needs refilling, another light alerts users.

Employees can release the tilt lock and pull the tilt handle to pour out food. This Vulcan K12ETT tilting steam kettle directs contents out the front with a butterfly-shaped lip, reducing splatter and preventing burns. The kettle tilts to 100 degrees to dump out all the cooked food, reducing waste. The unit can be locked in this 100-degree position to expedite cleaning without reaching over the top.
