The Vulcan VCCG48-AR gas griddle measures 48 inches wide and is a good addition to establishments that sell burgers, toasted sandwiches, eggs, and bacon. Designed with a 1-inch-thick plate made of polished chrome, this unit can reach temperatures from 200 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit, facilitating production of fried, grilled, and toasted products. It has four separate thermostats for operating its four U-shaped aluminized steel atmospheric burners, creating multiple cook zones. Mounted to the unit's front for quick access, the thermostats are covered with chrome wire knob guards to prevent accidental changes.

The Vulcan VCCG48-AR countertop griddle stands on 4-inch adjustable legs, lifting the unit above countertops to reduce heat transfer and enabling users to calibrate the griddle's support for a level cooking surface. To prevent hot grease from running off the griddle's back or sides, it's surrounded on three sides by a stainless steel splash guard, and a front-mounted trough safety collects the runoff and transports it to the unit's 6-quart grease drawer. A scraper, blade, and palmetto brush come with the griddle to help clean the chrome plate surface without marring it.
