The Vulcan VCCG48-IR gas griddle has a 1-inch-thick griddle plate made of polished chrome, providing a smooth surface that resists stuck-on food and heats up evenly. Operating with infrared burners, this unit saves energy and has four individual thermostats to provide separate control over each burner. By setting different burners to different temperatures, users can cook products such as fish, burgers, bacon, and eggs at the same time on different areas of the unit. The thermostats are ignited with electronic spark technology and include pilot protection for enhanced safety.

The Vulcan VCCG48-IR countertop griddle stands on adjustable, 4-inch legs, enabling users to fine-tune the griddle's position and ensure the cooking surface remains level when placed on cracked or uneven countertops. Around the back and sides, the griddle's stainless steel splashes help contain hot grease, preventing messes and reducing the risk of burns. At the unit's front, a stainless steel grease trough safely collects grease and crumbs, helping users keep the griddle surface clean during periods of heavy use. The trough transports debris to the built-in grease drawer, which can store as much as 6 quarts of waste before being emptied.
