The Vulcan VIR1F infrared upright broiler has a 25 1/2-inch-wide by 24 1/2-inch-deep cooking grid to broil different foods simultaneously. Made of cold-rolled steel bars, the grid creates grill marks for presentation; its openings also facilitate air circulation around product for even heating. Using natural gas, it's heated by four 25,000-BTU infrared burners, which can be turned on with the pilot ignition system. User can adjust burner output with two infinite heat valves, and the cooking grid can be raised or lowered in five different positions to achieve desired results.
The bottom deck of the Vulcan VIR1F upright broiler is a refrigerator, which can store meats, vegetables, and other ingredients prior to cooking. The unit's front, front top, ledge, base, stub back, and top are made of stainless steel for durability, and it's supported by 6-inch stainless steel legs for stability. Overall, this broiler measures 36 inches wide by 42 5/8 inches deep by 77 1/8 inches high and generates 100,000 BTUs per hour.
