Equipped with an anodized aluminum arm that presses down on food, the Vulcan VCMS-101 heavy-duty electric griddle top cuts cooking time in half. The arm uses a one-handed lifting mechanism that keeps the arm upright when inactive, increasing usable griddle space. Both sides of food are cooked simultaneously with the user-operated arm, making it a good choice for cooking sandwiches, chicken, and quesadillas. Part of the 10 2/5-inch-wide by 22 9/10-inch-deep cooking surface remains open for cooking that doesn't require the arm, so the griddle is a two-in-one unit. The Rapid Recovery® plate is 9/16 inches thick; its aluminum core interior and 304 series stainless steel exterior recover temperature swiftly and heat up evenly. Plus, flat bar heating elements beneath the plate use energy efficiently.

The Vulcan VCMS-101 electric griddle top's thermostats adjust from 200 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit for versatility. Its built-in on/off switch is simple to use; LED lights indicate which mode is being used. It's also compatible with griddles that have a standard front grease trough and a 6-inch backsplash. A Teflon sheet-mounting kit and two sheets are included to create a nonstick surface. A plate gap adjustment accessory, GADJUST-VCMS, also comes with the unit.
