The Wells SS-206ERD drop-in hot food well has a smooth, deep-drawn interior devoid of sharp creases. This design ensures water and food don't get trapped inside, which could lead to corrosion or bacterial growth. A drain provides a quick way to release water, instead of soaking it up with a cloth. For durability and corrosion resistance, its interior is made of stainless steel, and its elements are in the bottom to distribute heat to the pan and product above.

This Wells SS-206ERD economy drop-in food warmer accommodates a full-size food pan or smaller fractional pans. If the well is used wet, the food pan heats relatively evenly and needs little stirring; if used dry, however, the food should be stirred occasionally to prevent it from burning to the sides. In case the pan overheats, a high temperature limit that shuts off the well, preventing heat damage.
