The Vulcan VSC96 refrigerated base provides durable cold storage beneath a reinforced flat top designed for supporting cooking equipment. Measuring 96 inches wide, this unit accommodates a maximum top load of 1,500 pounds and is configured with six drawers. The drawers self-close to maintain temperature and include a stay-open mechanism for restocking. Its full-length handles with gasket guards, magnetic snap-in gaskets, and 14-gauge stainless steel drawer slides support repeated, daily use.

To manage interior temperatures, the Vulcan VSC96 refrigerated base operates with a front-breathing, self-contained refrigeration system. This design enables zero-clearance installation, while the microprocessor control system ensures accurate temperature regulation. Controllable perimeter heaters reduce condensation around the drawer openings, and an electric condensate evaporator with off-cycle defrost limits moisture buildup.
